Clever Places to Store a Shoe Storage Bench
I’m a neat freak when it comes to home cleaning. One of my pet peeves is seeing shoes and slippers strewn around the house. It’s like these things are all over the place and they can pose as a health hazard once you slip after accidentally stepping on one. So to keep my footwear situation in order, I purchased a shoe storage bench.
Now you may think that having a shoe cabinet is enough. Sometimes it isn’t. Footwear like slippers is used often. It could get too tiring to keep opening and closing the shoe cabinet just to keep slippers. Some shoes like sneakers or high heeled pumps used everyday also need to be aired out before you keep it in the closet. The bench that I bought came in handy when I placed it right beside the front door. It’s one of the most accessible places for footwear that you can just grab and go. Another convenient place to situate your bench is at the foot of the stairway or underneath it. When you have little children running about the house, you can train them to stack their footwear on the little bench and make it seem like a game so they would cooperate. I also placed one in each bedroom right beside the bathroom door. That way, footwear will not be taken into the bathroom which in turn will dirty up the floor.
